TUV-SUD Certified Floor Springs — Why Certification Matters

When you buy a floor spring for a commercial project, you are trusting it to operate smoothly thousands of times a day for years. TUV-SUD certification is the independent proof that it will.

What is TUV-SUD?

TUV-SUD is a globally recognised testing and certification authority based in Germany. Their certification is accepted worldwide as a mark of quality and safety. Products carrying the TUV-SUD mark have been independently tested — not just self-certified by the manufacturer.

What Does TUV-SUD Test in Floor Springs?

Cycle Life: Floor springs are tested for 500,000 opening and closing cycles — equivalent to approximately 10 years of heavy commercial use.

Load Capacity: The spring is tested at its rated load (e.g. 80kg or 150kg) throughout the entire cycle test.

Hydraulic Performance: For hydraulic models, the oil seal integrity and closing speed consistency are tested across temperature ranges.

Why It Matters for Your Business

If a floor spring fails on site and causes a glass door to crack or fall, the liability falls on the installer and the supplier. TUV-SUD certification gives you documented proof that you specified and supplied a tested product — protection for you and your client.
